This was the second incarnation of Goanna as line up changes propelled its evolution and momentum whilst performing at Geelong hotels, live
venues and events on the Victorian West Coast before relocating to Melbourne. I played guitar and guitar solos on the first studio demos of original Goanna songs recorded at Greg Bee’s studios in Geelong and left before the band moved to Melbourne.
Played a highlight support at the Eureka Hotel Geelong supporting Cold Chisel who were on a national tour promoting their second successful charting album: Breakfast at Sweethearts.
From its Melbourne base after further line-up changes Goanna performed and toured extensively before signing it’s first record deal with Warner Electra Atlantic Records Aust and releasing it’s successful hit debut single: Solid Rock and debut album: Spirit of Place.
